Four years after helping his team win the 2018 National Championship, former Ft. Worth THESA Rider RHP Micah Dallas was selected by the Oakland A’s in the 8th round of this year’s MLB amateur draft.

After three years at Texas Tech University, Dallas transferred to Texas A&M for the 2022 season.

He posted a team-leading 7-3 record, rolling up 86 strikeouts along the way, and was the winning pitcher in the Aggies’ defeat of rival Texas Longhorns in the College World Series.

It looks like the change paid off for him, as the A’s GM David Forst made Dallas the 244th overall player taken in this year’s draft.

Show them what you’ve got Micah… HWSA Nation will be watching and cheering for you!
