The following fee structure was used for 2010. Look for changes to the fee structure for 2011.

FEES (per team)

HWSA Membership Fee = NONE
World Series Tournament Fee = $775.00 (teams may pay in full or in two installments)

World Series Housing Deposit = NONE (we have eliminated this deposit)

FEES (per player)

Individual Player Registration Fee = $25 (covers T-shirt & Printed Program)

What happened to the HWSA Membership Fee?

Since we are opening up our tournament to all homeschool varsity teams (no limit), there is no membership fee. Teams must pay only the Tournament Fee, which is $775 this year.

What are the Fees compared to last year?

The fees for the World Series are exactly the same as last year's Regional Tournaments. However, this year, we are charging an additional $25 per player, which will be paid by the player's family, not the team.

Why the Player Registration Fee?

In order to keep fees down at the team level, we are mandating that each family (player) pay a $25 registration fee to help cover the overall costs of running a tournament. The player registration fee will also cover a player T-Shirt and a Printed Program for each family (which was free last year). This fee will also allow HWSA to avoid charging a gate entrance fee for the families and fans. It is the responsibility of the families, not the teams, to ensure that the player registrations fees are paid to HWSA. Those fees will not be due until the end of March. whenever the players order their T-shirts.

What is the difference between the Player Certification and the Player Registration?

There are two parts to player certification and registration:

  1. Each team must collect a player certification from each player and a copy of the birth certificate for each new player.  These are to be submitted in one team package to Tim Day on or before March 10, 2010. No money is required at this point.  Player Certification Forms

  2. Each player must register individually by filling out and sending in the Player Registration Form with a check payable to HWSA for $25.00 on or before March 25, 2010. This fee covers the cost of a t-shirt, program and family tournament admission ---there will be no gate fee. T-shirt sizes will be based on this form and no player will be permitted to play without having paid the player registration fee.

What if a Player doesn't pay his Player Registration Fee?

In that unlikely event, the player will not receive his T-shirt, his Printed Program, and ...... won't be allowed to play.
