2003 World Series WELCOME Reception

Four-item Gourmet Dessert Sampler Catered with care by OWCC Food Services



WHO: All Homeschool World Series players, coaches, and families

What: 2003 WELCOME DESSERT RECEPTION to honor World Series players (Casual attire, uniforms acceptable)

When: Friday, May 23, 2003 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Where: OWCC College Mall, Niceville campus

Cost: Tickets cost $8.50 each . Each team will be allotted 15 complimentary tickets only. Extra tickets needed will be the responsibility of each team or family member. Lap children only will not require a ticket. Tickets must be pre-purchased by May 12 because dessert is pre-portioned.

Dessert Reception tickets MUST BE PRE-PURCHASED by May 12! Please e-mail Holly Hendricks, HWSA Reception Coordinator, the name(s) and number(s) of ticket(s) that you will be pre-purchasing for the Reception. Team Representatives will need to send Holly a name list of the 15 people (players, coaches, bat boys, etc.) from their team who will be given a complimentary ticket to the reception.

Also, individual checks for the Reception should be made payable to YOUR BASEBALL ORGANIZATION . Team Representatives will collect individual checks, deposit them into your baseball account, add up their team's total reception ticket sales, and write ONE CHECK to HWSA for that amount. The DEADLINE to mail team Reception check is Monday, May 12. Please mail TEAM Reception CHECK and final name list of reception attendees to 322 Belmont Apt. C, Tomball, TX 77375 by May 12. Thank you for your cooperation.

Your name will be on the list at the door when you arrive at the Reception. Remember, you must pre-register for the Dessert Reception BY MAY 12. Lap children only will not require a ticket.

We will be decorating the dessert tables with items that represent each state. For example, Texans could bring longhorns, Native American decor, cowboy hats, spurs, cotton, bluebonnets, etc. We will have the state flag of each state represented in the World Series at the reception, but definitely would like to display more than just state flags. Please e-mail Holly if you would be willing to bring some items to display the "character" of the state you live in to the reception.
