The 2003 Homeschool Baseball and Softball World Series will be held in Niceville, FLorida (near Ft. Walton Beach) this coming Memorial Day weekend (May 22-26, 2003). The World Series will officially kick off bright and early on Thursday, May 22 during the All-Tournament Mandatory Orientation . All-Tournament pictures will follow at 8:45 a.m. on the OWCC baseball field. Game #1 for baseball and softball is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 22.
The general World Series format is as follows:
Five girl's fast-pitch softball teams (i.e., Atlanta, GA Lady Barons, Hope Christian School Lady Eagles (AL), Huntsville, AL Lady Falcons, Virginia Beach, VA Lady Breakers, and the Wichita, KS Lady Warriors) will also be attending the Homeschool World Series this coming Memorial Day weekend. The teams will compete in 10 round-robin pool-play games on Thursday and Friday of the World Series. A 4-5 Elimination Game will be held at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning, followed by two play-off games, and a Third Place game at 7:00 p.m. The 2003 Homeschool Softball Champions will be awarded the traveling Silver Cup following the Championship Game that is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 25.
